Our last blog post
Well hello guys!
Sadly, this is our very last blog post that we are making for this Creativity & Innovation course. It's been a fun ride focusing more intensely in being creative and innovative.
Here are our final thoughts about: What did we learn about creativity? What did we learn about each others creativity - characteristics, skills, attitudes that support/prevent creativity.

Jasmin – I learned that the act of creating is the act of bringing new and imaginative thoughts into reality. A creative person is capable of seeing the world in new ways, of finding hidden patterns, of connecting seemingly unrelated phenomena, and of generating new solutions. There are two processes involved in creativity: thinking and producing. There is no innovation without creativity.
I feel like I have learning to do in being motivated throughout the whole process, even though it is natural to not be all the time. Also, I’d like to be less selfish and let new ideas come in more openly, which I think that I did during this course actually quite well! I think that I’m already quite good at keeping my own wellbeing in a level where it doesn’t at least cause me any setbacks. I also feel like I bring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to a group. 😊
Janina – One point in my life I thought that creativity is only for art students, but as we have learned, we can practice creativity in all aspects of our lives. Creativity is coming up with new ideas, solving problems and thinking outside the box. These ideas should be original and useful. Learning about the challenges in creativity was very useful, as there are tools how to generate creativity in turn.
I think our group managed our projects quiet well, tasks were shared somewhat equally and the communication worked between us. I feel like I was lacking motivation sometimes, but as we talked in the last seminar it is very usual that motivation can go up and down during a project. I feel like I did not make enough time for the creative process, which is something I would do better another time.
Ekaterina - I learned that creativity can be perceived differently and how it can be applied during different tasks. It helps not only to solve problems but also it can be used to invent things or even change the working process inro something completely new.
In my opinion, our group work was smooth. We shared ideas and did a great job. From time to time we’ve lost our focus, but I think it’s natural during a working process. I would say that we had a plenty of time to do the tasks but sometimes maybe we lack creativity. I think it’s not bad since it’s a space for development.
