Jasmin's Introduction



A little introduction might be quite suitable before anything I suppose...

Hello! It's lovely to meet you!

My name is Jasmin Partanen, I'm a second year student in Tallinn University of Technology, also known as TalTech. I study international business administration in the school of business and governance. I've just recently chosen my speciality which is management and entrepreneurship.

Now that we got that out of the way, let me tell you something more interesting about myself. I'll take this opportunity to introduce myself as if I were writing to a book of friends or the slam book. You remember those friend books that we filled in when we were younger, right? Please say you do. Nevertheless I'll just do it. Oh and that's me in the picture above.

Birthday: 27.4.1999 so as of right now, I am 22 years old.

My favourite...

Colour: Green

Ice-cream: I love raspberry sorbet!

Book: The only book that pops in my head right now is a Finnish book called "Korkeintaan vähän väsynyt" (= At most a little tired) by Eeva Kolu. The book is an accurate and sharp overview of 21st century burnout culture, and it helps to reflect on how to feel sufficient in an abundant world where nothing is enough.

Movie: This is so hard to choose... I love so many different genres and they can't even be compared to one another. Like for example James Bond and Disney. Just can't compare. I still like both a lot. But now that I think about it, there is one movie that I do watch every year, and it's called The Holiday. Young Jude Law is in it, and that's all you need to know.

Song: As if the last question wasn't hard enough. I'll just go with Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.

Animal: Dogs all the way. 

Flower: Peonies are really beautiful to my eye. 

Food: A good veggie lasagna. Or sushi. Or soft tacos filled with all the good stuff. I like food, okay?

I am great at: Wanting to learn! Everything: people, cultures, foods, languages, nature...

What makes me happy: Sun is shining, it's warm, I'm drinking the best coffee I have ever tasted, I have a comfortable outfit on, there's an acoustic band playing my favourite songs and I'm accompanied with my good friends, just chilling, without a care in the world. That makes me happy.

When I grow up, I want to become a: Good communicator, better speaker and even greater listener. Work wise, an entrepreneur. 

If I had a magic power I would: End wars.

That's the end of that for now. Was that boring and not suitable at all? I hope not. The thing is, I think it tells altogether more about me by the style of writing I chose. Things don't have to be so well-put all the time in my opinion.

Idea Generation Method

      Hello again!    This week we are going to introduce you an idea generation method. We chose the 5 W’s. The method is sometimes referred as  Five Ws and How ,  5W1H , or  Six Ws.  The picture above already tells quite well of what this is all about. But to be precise,  according to the principle of the Five Ws, a report can only be considered complete if it answers these questions starting with an  interrogative word  (= a function word used to ask questions) Answering these five W’s helps us achieve a very holistic view of the topic under discussion. And it is an efficient way to come up with solutions and ideas. For example, suppose you want to create a new product or a service.
