Idea Generation Method

Image
Hello again!    This week we are going to introduce you an idea generation method. We chose the 5 W’s. The method is sometimes referred as  Five Ws and How ,  5W1H , or  Six Ws.  The picture above already tells quite well of what this is all about. But to be precise,  according to the principle of the Five Ws, a report can only be considered complete if it answers these questions starting with an  interrogative word  (= a function word used to ask questions) Answering these five W’s helps us achieve a very holistic view of the topic under discussion. And it is an efficient way to come up with solutions and ideas. For example, suppose you want to create a new product or a service. You can do so by asking questions like, who would use the product, why would people buy it, what would it do, etc.   Each question should have a factual answer—facts necessary to include for a report to be considered complete.  Imp...

Company interview

Image
Hello! This week we got a task to have an interview with a company and get to know their employee's point of view of how things are going. We decided to have an interview with one of our writer's friend who works in Finland in a children's public sector daycare company. It was super interesting to get to know more about the job in the childcare field and think of some possible innovate solutions for the few problems that the interviewed said. See you next week! 💫

This or That?

Welcome to our #1 blog post!  It is the beginning of our Creativity & Innovation course and we are going to start with a game all three of us played together. And it is.... This or That ? -  What do you prefer?   No game gets easier than this, and honestly this game is never ending, as you can come up with thousands and thousand of different combos of  this  or  that !  It’s a simple game for people of all ages . Usually, it is played so that one person says two related topics and the other person says which one they prefer. It’s really that simple!   Even if neither option appeals to you, you have to choose one or the other.     We chose a picture that everyone will pick their preferences on. After we had made our tough decisions, we explained them to everyone one by one. It sparked up nicely a little conversation on why we chose this or that. What do you like it? Would you try it? - Ekaterina, Jasmin and Janina
